Summer Camps not to Miss!

Exams have finished and summer holidays are here. There is so much to do in the holidays. We are so blessed that we have opportunity to spend time in Saadh Sangat and be inspired by Gurmat. There are two camps which I personally recommend to everyone over 16 years old to attend this summer - in July there is Boss Sikhi Camp and in August there is Khalsa Camp. These two camps are great places to learn about Sikhi, share pyaar for Guru Jee and enjoy the bliss of Saadh Sangat.

If you haven't already applied, then best to get in your applications early.

Boss Sikhi Camp 2006 - 24th to 29th July

Khalsa Camp 2006 - 20th to 25th August

do you recommend that?

I personally recommend any camp which inspires people to read Gurbaani, keep and improve Rehit, Nitnem and Amrit-Vela.

I personally wouldn't attend a camp where there are people promoting lax rehit and encouraging pubbing, clubbing.

paaji, have you attended Sikh student camp before? What is it like?...
Ive decided to attend this year and after some browsing have found there is a lot of negative comments about it- which is why i am asking you for your honest opinion.

Anonymous Jee,

My recommendation would be Khalsa Camp, as it provides good sangat with great Rehitvaan Gursikhs, great talks & discussions focusing on Gurmat and spirituality, and the camp environment helps the individual to develop and progress their personal Rehit (discipline), e.g. Nitnem, Amrit-vela, reading Baani, Keertan etc.
