Bhai Sahib i think i will go for the simple look. I don't think sequins or embroided outfit would look right on me. It may go well for some people, but not for me. :)

Blue, Black, White and Saffron

These four colours are to be worn. Other colours excite the mind and lure it to vices, and are therefore prohibited. Amritdhari Singhs/Singhni’s are specifically not to wear red or green at anytime. One is to dress humbly, any simple colours can be worn.

That in Bhramanmat. where does it say that? Anon1

Ermmm... excuse me??? you would really have to have a weak mind and lack of Simran, Sewa, Sangat, self-control and restraint to be lured to vices through wearing a red jumper or green trouser.

Come on yaar! Take it easy Bruv!

Anon ji
may be Guru maharaj ji wrote that rule for that particular time since muggalers wrote green and red etc in the war/battel (to reduce the confusion of who is who etc)
colors as panjis above have stated have nothing to do with it. comeone lighten up and stop scaring me and making me hate or discard Waheguru's creation. i used to belive that it was wrong but its just only few peoples belife and not dicussed well. we need to read history and find out why instead of jus saying guru sahib ji wrote it. clean you mind and think above those things jio:(
